Meet Our Friendly Staff!

Johana - Clinical Supervisor

Johana is from Los Angeles, CA (though her family is originally from El Salvador). She moved to Reno when she was 6 months old and has been here ever since. She has been at DFK for 6 years. She loves working with children and making a difference in their oral health. She also loves dancing and spending time with her 6 year old daughter! 

Sophia - Dental Assistant

Sophia was born and raised in San Francisco, CA in a Russian family. She can even read, write, and speak Russian! Sophia has been with DFK since 2004. She loves the kids and they love her so she feels like you can't ask for anything more than that. Sophia's hobbies include art, yoga, traveling, reading, gardening, cooking, and all things organic! 

Kristina - Dental Assistant

Kristina was born in Las Vegas and moved to Reno 15 years ago. She started working at DFK in 1999. She has stayed here because she feels like the quality of care is very high and she just loves working with kids. She is married and and has 3 children. Her hobbies include driving kids all over town for their hobbies and vacationing wherever there is an ocean!

Ann - Dental Assistant

Ann was born in Sacramento, California but was raised in Gardnerville. She loves working at DFK because she loves kids, there is a different challenge everyday, and they have an amazing team (ahhh, we love her to). Ann enjoys spending time with her 15 year old son, getting involved in the community, and working out!

Ray - Sterilization/Dental Assistant

Ray was born and raised in Reno. He went to dental assisting school here in Reno and was hired by DFK in 2008. He loves kids and his job. Ray has 3 brothers and his parents are from the Philippines. He loves basketball, snowboarding, boxing, hip hop music, and hanging out with his friends and family. 

Steve - Director of Administration

Steve was born in Pensacola, Florida but moved to Nevada in 1988. Steve got his accounting degree and MBA from Utah State. He loves small businesses and kids so coming to work at DFK seemed natural. He is married and has 4 kids - 2 Girls and 2 boys. Steve loves to spend time with his family, travel, golf, mountain bike, and run and run and run.

Wyatt - Financial Supervisor

Wyatt is from Sparks and has been with DFK for 3 years. He ended up at Dentistry for Kids by accident but loves it so here he is 3 years later. Wyatt has a 21 year old son, is a gong artist, a full-time accounting student, enjoys Bikram Yoga, and loves to travel. He also has three dachshund's!  

Shanon - Treatment Coordinator

Shanon was born in Anderson, Indiana (where ever that is) but moved to Reno when she was 2 months old. She has always been interested in dentistry and worked for a general dentist for 8 years prior to coming to work at DFK. Shanon loves children and has two boys of her own.. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her family outdoors.  

Erin - Scheduling Coordinator

Erin was born and raised in the Biggest Little City and graduated from UNR in 2008. She recently joined the DFK team and LOVES it! Erin enjoys spending her weekends at Lake Tahoe in the summer, and skiing at Mt. Rose during the winter. She has 2 cats named Darla and Alfalfa and a Siberian Husky named Celine. She loves traveling, country music, the color pink and chocolate.
